Sinnesreich – a touching and inclusive sonic experience
With Sinnesreich, Vocalodie presents colourful vocal music in an innovative
concert experience, which was developed in collaboration with the Carinthian Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
The ensemble uses the intimate possibilities of a darkened
room to blur the boundaries between stage, audience and singers, merging them into a
harmonious and holistic sound experience.
WE ARE
WE ARE – a decade of sound
With the concert programme “We Are,” the award-winning vocal ensemble Vocalodie celebrates its tenth anniversary – both as a retrospective and a portrait of the ensemble today. Musical highlights from the past decade come together with newly discovered favourites to create a varied evening, ranging from classical vocal repertoire and unusual soundscapes to folk music and rhythmic pop arrangements.
Each piece tells part of the ensemble’s story and reflects what defines Vocalodie: a finely balanced ensemble sound, musical diversity, a spirit of experimentation, and a shared love of singing together.
“We Are” is a tribute to the first ten years – and an invitation to continue accompanying Vocalodie on its musical journey.
Smile
Smile – a cheerful rendezvous in the diverse world of entertainment music
Premiere: 2026
The vocal ensemble Vocalodie sketches a cheerful journey into the diverse world of entertainment music, with one single question in mind: Where can the real Viennese smile be found?
The diverse programme ranges from catchy songs by Billy Joel to poetic songs of Georg Danzer, the timeless classics of the Beatles and the distinctive swing of The Manhattan Transfer. The ensemble Vocalodie impresses with its lively arrangements and musical precision in its own charismatic way.
Somewhere between a coffee house, the Musikverein, the Vienna’s Central Cemetery and a jazz bar, Vocalodie invites you on a cheerful quest, giving your laugh muscles a good workout throughout the concert. But don’t worry! Even if you start to tear up from laughter, you’ll love it!
Winterweise
Winterweise – a melodiously snow covered journey through musical landscapes
During the cold season, the warmest stories always come to mind. In the same spirit, the vocal ensemble Vocalodie, with its program Winterweise, charts the course of a melodious journey and entrusts the music with finding its own words. Together with the audience, the vocal ensemble immerses itself in the sparkling world of Beamish and Holst, dancing cheerfully to the music of Walton and the King’s Singers through enchanting winter wonderlands.
While works by Byrd and Pärt evoke icy gusts of wind and the seriousness of the dark months, the warm sounds of familiar folk music paint a cozy picture of a crackling fireplace. Just as traditional folk tunes have the power to bring stories to life, Vocalodie also invites its audience to embark on a musical winter adventure and watch the occasional snowflake find its way down on thick blankets of gleaming whiteness.
